Instructions for the Six Shooter
Pinhole Blender 4x5

4x5 film must be loaded
in total darkness

Load the film by attaching it to this tube with the emulsion side facing outwards. Use the bands to hold the film on at the ends of the tube. Position the film to the edge of the alignment notches that are cut into each end of the tube. This notch aligns the film so that the film edges face the seam on the can.

When inserting the film in the camera, rotate the tube until it aligns with the positioning pin at the bottom of the spindle.

When exposure is complete move the film bands towards the center of the tube as a tactile reminder that this film tube has been shot.

Store your extra film in a light tight container and use a changing bag to load your camera in the field.

This camera has a focal length of 30mm and the pinholes are 0.15mm in diameter giving an effective aperture of f 200. Use the single band magnet to expose a whole sheet of film at one time or use back tape to cover each hole and expose each pinhole separately. This camera can face in all directions at once so take care in metering, as light levels will very.
